This weekend, me and Claam saw Coraline together, because we vowed we would. The book was indeed done justice. Even though I barely remember the actual book for it was read in Elementary... The movie was good thus the book was done justice. The only thing that bothered me slightly was inability to see detail, the 3-D glasses' tint blocked the brightness intensity and therefore certain things like texture. Might have had something to with being already equipped with lenses... Though it was pretty cool in 3-D and I'm glad they didn't do any deliberate '3-D' things just because it was in 3-D you know? Like spitting on the screen or reaching out towards the audience dramatically, if they did I didn't notice.

BUT LET ME TELL YOU!! OH GOD THE FREAKIN' AWESOME TRAILERS!! 8D I mean there were about three trailers before the movie actually started(I'm not counting Monsters vs. Aliens that was done in 3-D trailer format, cuz that was separate, and I'd already seen it.) but my mouth was hanging agape for all of them. Of the three were 'Race to Witch Mountain' 'Astro Boy' and '9' maybe not Witch Mountain THAT much, but I loved the old movies so I was a bit happy about that. But come on Astro Boy?! I mean f***ing yes! Its a freakin' classic. And looks like it will be done awesome

But 9. Once an animated short film, now becoming a movie. Srsly watch the same trailer I saw. As soon as I saw this what came to mind was... original. Like someone online that has amazing stories got there. That its not your average movie. That another one of us has made it. It was probably the fact that it wasn't a human protagonist and I always love those other world sort of stories, that started that spark in my mind, but it was the sheer badass-ness from the trailer and seeing a glimpse of what was to come that has left me in utter awe.
No question about it its coming out 9-9-09, I'm seeing the thing with my party guests on my freakin' Birthday. 9-12 baby. This thing makes me as excited and feel the same way, as if one of the OCTs I'm a fan of was coming out in film. Its just that close.

Speaking of OCTs. Wowwee the finals are here. For you non OCT fans I mean ~Sins-Of-Angels Law of Talos. I hope it doesn't dissapoint, and with all that's coming together already I'm not sure it can. This is as big as Endzone people, everything's happening now. Although I almost wish I had more people to discuss it with, I haven't had time to call Claam lately, and we seemed too distracted by Coraline the time we did have together, to actually talk about anything productive. Though it did result in a funny conversation about 2-D glasses that was interesting, imagine spectacles that you could wear that made everything cellshaded?
Nick:iconnick-is-safferion: and Liz:iconkwartzkitten: are prolly the only other real life friends I have that are interested. Well Liz watches Unknown, I don't actually know if she's into LoT. But when I found Nick's deviantart account I'd been pleasantly surprised to see he liked tourneys as well.
Mostly all I can do, is talk to my little sister about my excitement. I think she's turning out alright, interested in the same things I am atleast, even though she can be pretty bratty. I mean it could be worse. If I hadn't gotten her interested in this stuff she could've been some weird creep into social things, like my older sister, who's only goes online to browse for clothes or check her MySpace.

Bye ya'll.

And I'll get around to those chain sketches when I finish my homework. Also if anyone cares, I'm trying to do Spectator Entries for EfN :iconescapefromnevara: since I didn't make it in time.

I have decided o.o'. I need to see Coraline. About four of my friends have already seen it and I don't want to miss out XD.

And it seems like some other awesome movies are coming out. I really need to get out to a movie theater more often X.x'.

Coraline was awesome, but I had the same problem with lack of detail as a result of the 3D glasses.

It very well may be due to wearing both that and another pair of glasses. :D
