History: Growing up in Lavaridge, Rotemi from birth was surrounded by a spa like atmosphere, including herbs, old people, and lots and lots of steam and hot water. Most of all, heat. Living at the foot of a volcano provided her to thrive in the warmest part of Hoenn, where she lived for most of her life. Being raised in such a steamy location, no one really noticed anything was wrong until her preschool class visited Route 113 to see the volcano ash, and learn about the dangers of Mt. Chimney and her residue. Far from the warm sands of Lavaridge, where the ash blocked out the sun, her teacher became concerned when Rotemi's lips turned blue and she couldn't stop shivering. In attempts to calm and warm the child, Rotemi's teacher let her hold onto one of her Camerupt's newborn calves that she had recently pokeballed, which Rotemi clutched onto and sat in the bus until it was time to leave.

She was allowed to keep the numel as her first pokemon, and companion. As she grew up she didn't understand why she couldn't stand the cold, but realised her increasing attraction towards the heat, being able to stand the hotter springs the longest, or seeking out warm locations in an already steaming village. According to doctors and herbal elders there was no medical reason why she had difficulty staying warm, and was often encouraged to get over it, leaving Rotemi to feel like no one else really understood her need to stay warm but her numel who's lava filled belly would cool if exposed to colder temperatures, but even he seemed to tolerate the 'cold' better, which ever increasingly became what was nice weather or 'normal' temperature for the average person.

Heat consumed Rotemi, became somewhat of an obsession and addiction, seeing how far her body could stand without being damaged by the heat. Her most prominant points of interests being the hottest things she could imagine: fire and the lava that ran through the veins of Mt. Chimney. When even room temperature became arctic-like she set out on her pokemon journey to collect pokemon that could help keep her warm when traveling. Hearing of Evil organizations living in the cracks and caverns of Mt. Chimney, she got the idea in her head that a volcano was her dream home. Training and living in the caverns of Mt. Chimney toughened her up further, already quite hardy from a childhood of hiking along its base.

Personality: Rotemi could best be described as a desperate addict. She is completely obsessed with fire, heat and lava, and thusly surrounds herself with pokemon of those abilities. For some reason, she can't stand anything not-hot, and considers any weather that isn't some sweltering drought, chilly or freezing. For this reason she covers herself in several layers of winter clothes to stay warm.

Because of her problem, she's generally miserable. The world seemingly forever stuck in winter, she's only ever felt comfortable in the caverns of Mt. Chimney. To stay warm she usually uses her lava filed numel, radiant solrock, or metal steelix that is very comforable to lay or hug onto in the hot sun.

All her pokemon know and utilize special and fire/heat based attacks, some by TM. Though the solrock and numel mostly stick to special, steelix is the most physical.

In battle she sticks with the basic strategy of make it hot, or kill it with fire. Heavily utilizing weather conditions like sunny day to boost her pokemon's moves, or sandstorm to feed the flames of a firespin raging on the field. If she can get that home playing field of chaotic flames, she'll be confident and fierce. If chilled herself by some fast ice pokemon, she will be unable to focus until she can get warm again. Though she loves her pokemon, she won't hesitate to use more self inflicting moves or strategies, as long as it means a win.

Outside of battle, she's somewhat shy, and socially awkward. She likes friends, she's just usually not sure how to make them or is too distracted trying to find someplace warm to pay too much attention to those around her. She finds older and larger men intimating, but is actually highly infatuated by small pretty boys, or effeminate men (even to the extreme). Ice type trainers usually don't bode well with her though.

Rotemi is very quiet, not knowing what to say or how to respond to people, though sometimes she's just ignoring you. Even in battle, she'll often call out short commands or ideas, sometimes in some sort of coordinator code(like a name for some combo they've done before) and even when she is speaking her voice is usually muffled by her scarf.

She's very hardy, and fast. Though, she has very little endurance, years of living near and by a volcano have made her resistant to smoke inhalation, BUT has minor lung problems and will run out of breath easily. She's also very small, and flat chested, very easily described as scrawny.

Her speed and often skill at dodging things mostly comes from the volcano where she had to learn to avoid things like vents of scalding steam. From her experiences of a fiery life, she has several burns on her body. She's good at predicting or reading signs in a turbulent battlefield, as its her homeplaying field. And will often easily avoid things like stray flames or flying rubble.

During an intense battle, that can get very hot for her, she may lose layers of clothes as she gets comfortable in a whirlwind of a firestorm, but most often leaves the scarf on to protect her from sandstorms and smoke.

She really likes pretty things, and considers herself a coordinator. Her battles are thusly very flashy, and her strengths lie in contests. Someday she aspires to buy fluffy fire types like flareon or a vulpix.

Rotemi lives her life most often in a kind of daze like she's searching for something she needs to find. This has only ever completely gone away when in the hotter parts of Mt. Chimney's caverns. This daze causes her to space out some, leaving her to blindly wander to someplace warm, or sit in the sun for awhile to more or less bask until she feels herself ready to move on.

Most of all, her need for heat is her fatal flaw. Though it can be a strength for her, being able to handle and control an environment many can't, in the end it may very well be her ultimate downfall. Something so dangerous might not always be the best to get close to.

Likes: Pretty boys, and pretty things. Heat. Fire. Lava. Being warm. Basking in the sun. Herbs. Tea. Hot springs. And her pokemon.

Dislikes: Being cold. Ice pokemon. Not-hot water. Her general confusion on what's often
going on.

Other info: Is loyal to Rotemi, and will always be at her side. They've both been with each other for as long as both of them can remember, and seem to understand eachother the most when it comes to staying warm, whether it be for some strange need or because the lava in your hump.

Battle style: Rarely uses phsyical attacks, sticking to psychic and heat based moves.

Other info: Is generally happy and optimistic. Flirts and hits on nearly any pokemon. Likes to bask in the sun with Rotemi. Star associates itself with neither gender, that doesn't mean it doesn't like other pokemon. Though it likes to be 'friendly' with others, its cold stare often comes across as more creepy than anything else.

Battle style: Barrels head on into anything. Carelessly takes damage. On his own completely physical, with Rotemi's help, things like stanstorm and dragon's breath come into play. Is often 'sacrificed' because he can take it. Though somewhat slow, will often spam rock polish to maximize speed.

Other info: He loves Rotemi, and sticking things he likes in his mouth. Sometimes he keeps Rotemi safe in his mouth and will dig at high speeds to new areas as her method of travel. He trusts Rotemi like a blind sheep but is probably too stupid to do anything else. Because of her usual battle strategy he may be more tolerant of fire than most steel types, sometimes because the battle calls for he himself to be the one heating up.
